Description
DriEaz Turbo Dryer
Our DriEaz Turbo Dryers will get the air moving in your wet or flooded area for rapid drying. An air mover will move the air around at up to 2400 cubic feet per minute (cfm). This simulates very strong ventilation in your wet or flooded area. Use the air blower (also known as a carpet fan) in conjunction with our commercial grade dehumidifier and your area will be dry in no time.
Our DriEaz Turbo Dryers is often called a ‘snail fan’ due to its shape. It has 3 different speeds and can be angled in different directions, depending on where the moisture can be found. If you have wet flooring, leave the fan flat on its base so the air can blow straight across the floor or carpet. Use this angle also if the moisture has only just started to wick up the walls. Pointing the fan at the wall. If the water has wicked further up the walls, tilt the fan on to a 45 degree angle so the air blows further up the wall. The fan can also be placed on its back so the air can blow directly towards the ceiling.
Many snail fans will also have clamps so if you are lifting a corner of the carpet you can clamp it to the fan so that it doesn’t flap around.
Safety
The carpet fan is electrical equipment so do not place it directly on a flooded surface. Accordingly, bulk of the water must be extracted first so that the area prior to placement of drying equipment is only damp. Raise any electrical cords off the damp area.
More Information
The air mover (blower) and the dehumidifier work as a well-oiled team. The air blower will first take the moisture out of the carpet and leave it in the air. The dehumidifier then removes the moisture from the air.
